CADILLAC — Cadillac’s fireplace marshal, Anthony Wolff, can be re-instated on Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Wolff was terminated in 2020 after he pleaded no contest to aggravated home violence, a one-year misdemeanor. The town terminated Wolff, saying he’d introduced disrepute to town.
Wolff and the firefighter’s union have been preventing his termination.
On Tuesday, town issued a press release saying that Wolff can be re-instated following an arbitrator’s resolution.
“The Metropolis and Cadillac Hearth Fighters Affiliation Native 704 just lately concluded arbitration proceedings associated to the termination of Anthony Wolff. Pursuant to the arbitrator’s resolution, Mr. Wolff will return to obligation because the Metropolis’s Hearth Marshall on February 24, 2021,” Metropolis Supervisor Marcus Peccia acknowledged in an electronic mail to the information media.
